If you drop your head on the table with despair.
Closed your eyes,
overthinking there is nothing left to repair.
I will walk to you then,
and let my fingers pull back the hair behind the ears,
Tickle the earrings with my lips so as to whisper the words of strength,
if you feel you are still falling step by step
Baby! I can sing to you and hold your hand.
If you chose to lie on the Sunday morning,
I will bring the coffee and the chocolate cookie to the bed.
Take my guitar and play the old song from the school days.
Wait for the sun to shine on you the way it did when we played those childhood games.
To see you smile today!
Baby! I can sing to you and hold your hand…
